Bedford Living: Where did you grow up? How long have you lived in the area? Tell us about your family.
Greg: My wife, Annie, and I moved to New Hampshire over 20 years ago after graduating from Hobart and William Smith College in Geneva, NY. I grew up in Lake George, NY and Annie grew up in Darien, CT. We have two daughters, Marley and Kate, who attend Bedford High School, a black lab named Bowman and a new yellow lab names Baxter.
Bedford Living: Tell us about the events that led up to where you are now.
Greg: The first summer I lived in New Hampshire, I accepted a job as a carpenter for a small construction company. We were building custom homes in the Powder Hill area of Bedford. In that role, I quickly fine-tuned my framing and finish carpentry skills and learned the other facets needed to complete large construction projects. In 1997, I made the decision to start my own company, Liberty Hill Construction.
Bedford Living: Describe your business to us.
Greg: Liberty Hill Construction is a design-build residential remodeling company. We manage the budget, design, planning and all phases of construction, providing guidance and support throughout. Our projects include additions, kitchens, bathrooms, finished basements, detached buildings, in-law suites and more.
Bedford Living: What’s unique about Liberty Hill Construction that sets you apart from the rest?
Greg: Our goal is to provide a predictable and stress-free experience for our customers. This requires proven systems and policies as well as consistent and honest communication. We have invested in a cloud-based management system to help facilitate this. Every detail including schedules, selections, financials and all communications work within the program. A client log in allows you to easily access all the elements of your project in one organized place. We maintain strong communication and predictability; and this is what sets us apart from other contractors.
Bedford Living: How do you give back to the community of Bedford?
Greg: As a business owner, I have had the opportunity to support many organizations in town, as well as throughout New Hampshire. Currently I am on the board of The Bedford Education Foundation, a member of the Building on Hope Steering Committee and a regular CASA sponsor. Locally I helped start the Bedford Farmers’ Market, and we helped build the Ann DeNicola Memorial Playground, the Street Family Project and the Peter Woodbury Community School Yard. We also sponsor many Bedford School District events like the Witch Way 5K, Mckelvie Move-a-Thon, Lurgio Stand By Me, The Bedford Robotics Team and the BHS Boosters. Giving back and supporting the community is part of our company mission.
Bedford Living: What would your clients say about you?
Greg: The best way to answer that question is to hear from them.

“I just want to give a huge shout out to Liberty Hill Construction. We just finished our basement, and it was fantastic from start to finish. Everyone was pleasant and easy to work with. We agreed on a budget and schedule, and they stuck to it. They were amazingly organized, always followed through and made the project hassle-free, which is important in my house. And it looks amazing. If you ever need anything done I highly recommend them.”
