Axel Bolton, Project Manager

Axel joined Liberty Hill Construction in 2021 but is certainly not new to the industry. He graduated Cum Laude from Keene State College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture. His education has continued with numerous classes from the University of Massachusetts Graduate School at Amherst, MA in Historic Preservation, Building Science and Architecture. After working for an Architect, he started his own business focused on carpentry, remodeling and custom designed cabinetry. Axel has a diverse skill set and the capability to handle any challenge.
Growing up in the Monadnock region ingrained a love of the outdoors and most of his time is spent with his boys, Aliston and Avery, fishing, hiking and skiing. He has advanced certifications in scuba diving and sailing.
Axel recently earned his coaching license under the United States Ski and Snowboard Association, and spends his weekends co-coaching the Crotched Mountain Competition based Freestyle ski team.
Brian Thompson, Project Manager
With 14 years in the construction industry, Brian has always loved seeing a project come together from the ground up. He got his start as a framer and quickly became interested in learning every part of the building process. Over the years, he’s developed a real appreciation for the organization and coordination it takes to keep a project moving and enjoys watching all the moving pieces come together into a finished space clients can enjoy.
Before joining the team, he spent more than 10 years working in the TV industry on a variety of home renovation shows, giving him experience with everything from fast-paced project timelines to creative problem solving on unique builds. One of the most memorable projects he has been part of was building a two-story treehouse complete with a kitchen, bedroom, and full music studio for a member of the band Florida Georgia Line.
Outside of work, Brian enjoys spending time outdoors working in the yard at his house, creating outdoor living spaces, and designing a future garden area. His love for craftsmanship and design carries through both professionally and personally.
John Kerr, Lead Carpenter
With 35 years in the construction industry, John brings decades of experience, craftsmanship, and problem-solving skills to our team. His passion for building started in childhood with a love for woodworking and has grown into a lifelong career creating quality spaces and solutions for clients. He has always enjoyed being outside and takes pride in creating quality work that clients can appreciate for years to come.
One of the coolest projects he has been part of was building a post-and-beam addition using reclaimed hand-hewn beams. Projects like that are where his attention to detail and creative thinking really shine. He enjoys figuring out solutions, thinking outside the box, and building strong relationships with customers throughout the process.
Outside of work, John enjoys restoring and working on classic cars and motorcycles, including bringing an old English car back to life. Before entering the construction industry, he spent four years serving as a police officer in London.
Alex Watson, Lead Carpenter

Alex comes to us with over 23 years in the construction industry, bringing extensive hands-on experience and a passion for quality craftsmanship to our team at Liberty Hill Construction.
His interest in construction started early with his first high school job at Marriner Lumber, a former lumber yard/sawmill in the midcoast Maine area. This experience was just a starting point. From there, Alex developed a fascination for tools — how they work, what they can create, and the skill it takes to turn an idea into something both functional and visually appealing. That passion has stayed with him throughout his career and continues to drive the pride he takes in delivering finished spaces clients can truly enjoy.
Over the years, Alex has worked on a wide range of high-end projects, including frame to finish custom builds and historical restoration on Nantucket Island, renovations and additions of all kinds throughout New England, and also a few years of architectural millwork installation in the NH/MA area. His extensive field experience and ability to work well with the team around him make him a valuable asset to Liberty Hill Construction.
Outside of work, Alex enjoys spending time with his family, fishing, hiking, gardening, and driving his daughter anywhere she needs to be for dance/cheer. Alex is also an avid enthusiast of live music, so don’t be surprised if you see him at a show or 2 along the way!
Joanne DeStefano, Bookkeeper & Selections Coordinator

Joanne comes to Liberty Hill Construction with 16 years of construction experience; office management and staff support. Joanne meets all customers early on to help them understand our project management software and coordinates their completion of product selections. She enjoys helping out her coworkers to ensure each project runs smoothly. She lives in Londonderry with her husband, John. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time in the Lakes Region kayaking, camping, gardening and working on stained glass projects.
Andre Dow, Construction Laborer

Andre is new to the construction industry, and we’re thrilled he chose to start his journey with Liberty Hill Construction. He’s excited to see a project transform from start to finish and soaking up everything in between.
When he’s not on the jobsite, you’ll probably find him out on the golf course. Before that, hockey was a huge part of his life— Andre played for 16 years, went to nationals twice, and even won two high school state championships while at Concord High School.
At LHC, Andre is a hard worker who stays active. He’s able to pick things up quickly and get along with everyone who meets him – qualities that make him a perfect fit on our team.
