Carpenter’s Apprentice

Liberty Hill Construction is looking for a motivated and hardworking individual to join our team as a Carpenter’s Apprentice. This is a hybrid role that combines the responsibilities of a Carpenter’s Assistant and a Skilled Laborer. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, be able to follow instructions, work independently and have a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Participate in demolition and removal of debris of a project
  • Assist with the preparation and cleanup of job sites
  • Perform manual labor during construction phase including but not limited to digging trenches, mixing and pouring concrete, cutting and installing insulation or any other task assigned
  • Follow safety protocols and regulations at all times
  • Assist Lead Carpenter(s) with measuring and cutting materials for projects
  • Provide assistance and support to the in-house labor team and trade partners
  • Help assemble structures and perform general carpentry duties
  • Willingness to seek additional responsibility and guidance from other Liberty Hill Construction team members to enhance existing skills or learn new skills that will assist potential advancement within the company
  • Provide support in carrying out the responsibilities of a Laborer or other tasks that may fall outside of their regular job duties when needed

Job Type:

  • 8 hour day-shift with potential for overtime

Pay:

Education & Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience helpful, but not required
  • Required to stand for long periods of time, lift a minimum of 50lbs and work at heights as needed by project demands
  • Ability to work well in a team environment with a strong willingness to learn
  • Must be dependable, reliable and drug-free

License/Certifications

  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required
